Update: Burmese Refugee Tutoring

A rough sketch of what our schedule will be like: 5 of us or so will go on the weekend to tutor Burmese refugees in high school level English and math at a school about 20 minutes away. We will rotate so that, at most, you will be expected to tutor once every two weeks. I will send out a doodle when time comes so we can arrange to see who goes when (so things flow smoothly).

I expect that at first we will each have to go through some sort of background check (for obvious reasons). That's all the information I can give you for now; our contact will return Nov 4.

General Body Meeting

Our next general body meeting is from 6:30-7:30 in UC Dowd Wednesday the
27th. We will have the results for the leadership
positions by then, assuming everyone gets interviewed this weekend. Also,
our first events are coming up, so this is your chance to sign up!

Also, if they haven't already, exec members should be contacting you soon
about the projects if you signed up to be a project leader at the last
meeting. If not, there's still this week to sign up too. So many
possibilities!

General Body Meeting

This is just a brief reminder that we will be having our first general body meeting this ***Wednesday, September 22, at 6:30 PM in DH 1217***. There are leadership positions open, and many projects this year that we are really excited about. Come and get involved! We will also be serving pizza :)
